Knock off from the Lettered Cottage

The Lettered Cottage is my all time favorite blog. Layla and Kevin are the most talented couple I know. I love what they do with salvaged wood. So...I tried my hand at making the planked American flags I saw in her post on mantels displays. Here's how mine turned out. I should have displayed them pretty. I haven't decided what to do with them! Maybe sell them on Etsy?

I loved those when I saw them on the Lettered Cottage, great job! That would be a great way to use up some of my starfish from my wedding!

@Holly: FYI - I had to order mini starfish (2-3") because regular ones are too big. Also, my boards are old planked flooring but I think you could use new flooring (the Bruce Type Hardwood floors that snap together) because you are painting and distressing them anyway! Guess I could have put all of that in my blog :)

They're so cool! I think you could sell them without any trouble at all. Well done!
